Moose Hunting Dates (WMD 1 & 2)

Maine Sporting Camps is located in Allagash Maine which holds one of the heaviest moose populations in the state. We hunt wildlife management district 1 & 2 of the North Maine Woods. Approximately 3.2 million acres. Moose tags can be applied for until 11:59 pm, May 15th.

Moose permit lottery will be held Saturday June 21, in Farmington, ME. at 1 pm.

The results of the 2025 lottery will be available on-line by 6 pm on June 21, 2025.

Self-Guided Hunt:

Extra guests may be added for an additional cost of $420 per person/week.
Hunters are responsible for their hunting license and Moose tags.

$500 non-refundable deposit is required to book your hunt. Cash or Check ONLY.
9% Lodging tax will be applied.
Balance is due upon arrival in Cash.

When booking we will need your information for your once in a life-time hunt.

$840 per week (2 hunters) Permit holder & Sub-Permittee/Guest.
Includes: 1 week of lodging, Sunday to Sunday. The Cabin is located in WMD 1 between the Allagash and Black Gates. Minimal Driving is required to reach WMD 2.
Excludes: Meals, Transportation, Game Retrieval, Skinning, Meat Processing and North Main Woods Gate Fees.

Semi-Guided Hunt:

$2,000 per week (2 hunters) Permit holder & Sub-Permittee/Guest.
Includes: 1 day of guide service prior to your hunt. (Transportation and Fuel Provided for guide service only) 1 week of lodging (Permit holder and Sub-Permittee/Guest)
Excludes: Meals, Transportation, Game Retrieval, Skinning, Meat Processing and North Main Woods Gate Fees.

Fully-Guided Hunt:

Semi-Guided Hunt:

$4,000 per week (2 hunters) Permit holder & Sub-Permittee/Guest.
Includes: 1 week of lodging (Permit holder and Sub-Permittee/Guest) transportation to and from hunting area, fuel, one on one guide service, field dressing, game retrieval, transportation to the tagging station, skinner and local meat processor.
Excludes: Meals,Cost of Skinning, Meat Processing and North Main Woods Gate Fees.
